Charlotte Akor, MD

Fellowship-Trained Pediatric Ophthalmologist & Eye Surgeon

I am Dr. Charlotte Akor, a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained pediatric eye surgeon. Texas has been my adopted home for 11 years, and I am excited to join the Corpus Christi community with my husband and 2 children. My family supports me as I do what I love, "I look into kids eyes so they can clearly see the future."

My training includes a biology degree from Yale University and a medical degree from West Virginia University. I completed my eye residency in Buffalo, NY, and my pediatric eye training in Atlanta, GA. I did a research year in ocular pathology at Emory University.

My goal is to provide my patients with the most advanced and comprehensive eye care. I perform pediatric and adult eye muscle surgery, tear duct surgery, ptosis surgery, chalazion removal, eyelid mass removal, amblyopia management, and glaucoma screening. I care for emergency eye problems and can determine a surgical plan for your eye needs.

Thank you for trusting me with your precious eyes.
